We are excited to announce and start promoting a series of Custom Web Tools for clients. Many of these tools and software solutions have come about from developing solutions for clients as well as ourselves. We also found that certain tools (ex; the Forms mailer with anti-SPAM security) came as a result of clients forms on their websites being spammed regularly. The form mailer above script generates custom codes that can't be entered or read by SPAM robots, thus defeating Spammers!
Other Custom Web Tools include products like our Email Confirmation Tool. This was designed after seeing clients setup forms for subscribing to newsletters and promo material. Nasty folks would signup strangers or friends unknowingly and then not confirm the address. SPAM would start to come in via the form frustrating clients. Our coding and tool is structured to confirm and track WHO is signing up via a confirmation email. You then have a digital paper trail eliminating problems should someone complain. We can assist you in seeing that your company is following good practices on the net.
The above Email Confirmation Tool recognizes and protects the privacy of individuals. It's perfect for clients that can't afford to lose traffic to their sites.
Watch our site for more new tools and be sure and visit our Custom Web Tools page (it's being updated over a two week period in early May.

Where does the time go...
Well it's almost April and we have been crazy busy here once again (sounds like a broken record?). Now busy is good in our business. Over the past few weeks we created 3 new websites (A resources site for a local community agency), a web site for Arabian Horses - ArabianHorsePlanet.com and a new site for a Vintage Clothing Store. Our graphics team has been very busy developing some Tradeshow display booths as well as advertising for a Credit Union. We also developed (using Adobe InDesign CS2 - which we LOVE) a 12 page program for the Northern Women's Symposium.
In all that spare time we read "Freakonomics" ( an awesome book that will get you thinking- we couldn't put it down), purchased a Nikon super fast VR Autofocus telephoto zoom, got addicted to Satellite radio, started work on some acrylic painting concepts, started drinking Tahician Noni Juice and started studying Leonardo DaVinci's drawings from a new book out on his work. Yes...its been fun and crazy.
Oh...one last thing. We get asked what we listen to when we work. Well this week it ranged from Led Zepplin's "Over the Hills and Far Away", Linkin Park "Numb", Vertical Horizon's "We Are" and Paul Oakenfold "Ready Steady Go!".
March 18th, 2006
One of our recent projects that we launched was the new Threewave Software site. Working closely with their production and management team, we developed a new design and interface and then rolled it out using the Mambo Content Management System. Threewave Software is lead by Dan Irish (CEO) and a team of really creative, energetic developers. They work with a number of high profile companies in the gaming industry. Eldoren Design also helped them develop a new corporate logo and identity. This will be rolled at the Game Developers Conference and E3 (Electronic Entertainment Exposition).

Well here we are blasting into the new year. What a holiday it was! So this week we wanted to announce the launch of the new Tryna Gower Photography site. This site was developed very closely with team member Lisa Morello and the client, photographer Tryna Gower. You have to see her work to appreciate how unique it is. She's 180% focused on the client, isn't afraid to try new, innovative ideas. And her black and white work is really something to see. Tryna's design eye played a big part in this project. Take the time to look at her site, we know you will like it.
We are working on a bunch of new projects right now. Everything from new print materials and collateral to custom image libraries from sessions we shot at the Northern Lights College. The Horse Portal project we are working on is coming along as is the financial sites we have underway.
Recent project updates include the community futures website (new developments in the workshop area and the upcoming women' symposium. More on that later.

As we get close to the end of the year, I thought I better provide an update on one of our new team members, Krista Peachey. Back in August, Krista joined us as an intern and now works on some of our largest projects. Skilled in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Macromedia Dreamweaver & Flash. She's incredibly creative and hardworking. And for those thinking about trying to hire her away from Eldoren...we have deep pockets and protect our own! :+))
This week we are working on some yearend projects. But we are also hanging out with our families and relaxing after what has been the busiest year of my life. 2006 looks like a blast and we are really excited about the new year. Watch for more updates soon as we have lots of sites to launch soon.

As we edge closer and closer to the Christmas holiday, our projects get tastier and tastier. This week we built a contest page and promotion for client Grand Avenue Chocolates (Concord, California). Our mouths were watering the entire time. If you have seen the movie Chocolat, then you will appreciate what these folks have to offer. Absolutely the most incredible chocolat products. Stop by their site!
A number of consulting projects are underway. We are always very busy assembling marketing plans, site reviews, site architectures and creative material for clients. Current projects starting this January include a Equine Portal for horse lovers.
This past month we started working with a Vancouver based software company and are developing corporate logo's, branding and identity.Plus a new website.

Busy, Busy this week. Christmas is coming and already our Spring is booking up! Here is a quickie update on just a portion of the projects underway:
November 8th, 2005
Wow....where does the time go. Since our last update in late August, the team at Eldoren Design have been very busy working with a number of projects and new clients. This past weekend we launched the new Tourism Dawson Creek web site. This site is about 60+ pages and gives their organization a new look and feel, much better navigation and fresh, colorful pictures.
Also underway is a web site redesign for the Asset Protection Corporation website. Many will remember this site was an early design we created years ago. We are now working closely with the management at APCO and launching a new look this winter.
Olde Creek Store, a local small business providing a variety of home decor, innovative products, antiques and more is getting a new website. This site will feature a theme based design with some Victorian touches and imagery from the 1900 - 1920 time period. The staff are fantastic and we are excited about this project.
The design and marketing team at Eldoren Design recently developed a series of posters, postcards, media kits, print ads, binder inserts 1 and 2, strategic plan, folders and giveaways for the Northern Opportunities Project. We will be displaying examples of the work we created very soon. Click on the links above if you would like to see samples.
In late October, Eldoren Design was nominated for two awards for Technology and Innovation by the SciTech North organization in Northern BC. We were pleasantly surprised and humbled when we received the award for TECHNOLOGY and INNOVATION IN THE WORKPLACE. Our hats off to the entire team at Eldoren for their fine work.
This past August we were also brought on-board Krista Peachey, a creative assistant and web developer. Krista works inhouse with the Eldoren Team and has worked on a variety of projects so far. July 26th, 2005
Well this past few weeks we have been working flat outr on a number of projects. Currently underway is the new Tourism Dawson Creek Site Redesign. Also launching a new store for Genisoy Foods.
A new Canadian web site for Klass Kote Canada will be up very shortly as well. This is a new company we have started to promote a top selling 2 part epoxy paint system used in the Model RC Industry. Some of you may know that over the years, Gordon built a scale 206 DDF JetRanger as well as numerous aircraft including a Scale DC-3 and 1/4 scale J-3 Cub on floats. This site will promote these paint products.
Our consulting and marketing work is going full bore with a large Luxury Farm that we are promoting around the globe via the web. Associated with this promotion is a KeyWord Buy Program running for 3-4 different clients.
This week we will be announcing a new team member who will be working with us locally. Its exciting to build our team and this will help us tremendously.
June 26th, 2005
Creativity isn't just limited to Web Site Design and marketing tools. When we here at Eldoren are not building web sites, our interests venture into many other territories. For example, the image above is a digital airbrush concept design for a new paint job for Gordon's radio controlled deep vee racing boat. Kids toy? Nope. Try 48 inches of fiberglass racing boat with an inboard watercooled 23cc racing engine. Capable of 60+ mph! And we are in the process of painting it.
The paint scheme for the boat will be bright racing yellow with the hull tearing away to display ripped metal and a H.R. Giger style bio mechanical system of metal, skeletons, hose, rivets and more. Because our operation is totally digital, Gordon takes concept ideas in his head and then sketches them out on a WACOM electronic drawing tablet using the airbrush function in Adobe Photoshop. From the concept drawings to frisket paper, masking and trim tape, Gordon then will layout the design (on the boat in this case). Using fuel resistance automotive urethanes ( House of Color, Omni and Klass Kote ) the boat will be painted with a very cool customized painting unlike any other.
Not everyone is aware that in addition to the design work Gordon produces with his team, that he also paints watercolor and acrylic paintings. And also airbrushes in about 5 different mediums. Using premium IWATA brand professional airbrushes, work ranges from racing boats to motorcycle helmuts and this winter, snowboards.
So what does this have to do with Web Design and Marketing? Not much other than to say our creativity doesn't end on the web. We also work a great deal with digital imaging and have fun creating in pretty much any medium.
June 6th, 2005
One service we are offering once again as part of our creative services is professional safety manuals, corporate profiles (primarily for oil and gas clients), business cards and letterheads, and custom postcards (for marketing campaigns). We plan to add more on this very soon.

Well this past week we launched the new City of Fort St. John website. So far the comments have all been positive and we are excited about the direction they are going with their web program.

Dec 31st, 2004 - Eldoren Game Continues Development
Many clients and adventure fans may or may not be aware of a story that was created back in early 1998 that has since developed into a computer game project. Entitled Eldoren: The Great Walled City, this project started as a novel and quickly grew to 3 books. The books were never published, although we may pursue a publishing deal this next year. Many people ask how we came up with the company name Eldoren. Well, at the time we legally incorporated, we need a unique name and always liked the concept of our company being compared to a secure, great walled city. And there you have it. Be sure and visit our website for the game (and view the incredible art we created) at http://www.eldorengame.com
Dec 22nd, 2004 - Eldoren Design nominated for Awards.
Today, Eldoren Design was notified that our firm was nominated of the E-Business of the Year Award and Technology Provider of the Year Award by the staff at the Northern BC Business and Industry Awards Event (hosted in Prince George, BC). This is the second year our company has been nominated and we are pleased and humbled by our clients support.
Dec 1st, 2004 - Launched our new version of our website (Web standards based).
Oct 19th,2004 - Canadian Business Magazine ran an article in the Oct 11-24 issue about Eldoren Consulting Inc. Entitled "Small Business, Big Ideas", it discussed Eldoren's past work developing a website for the Olympics commemorative book site and how we were able to get the contract by partnering with our US partner, Philip Andrews Design. It is nice to see them recognize our efforts and promote that fact the smaller businesses can compete against the big boys for work. I will see about getting a reprint that we can mention on the site. Or you can go out and take a peek at the Oct Issue.
Oct 15th,2004 - Wow...already October and our design team is working flat out. Currently projects include the new Peace Energy Cooperative website ( this site features information on renewable energy including geothermal, solar, wind power and more. Very exciting project. Also building a site for the Transferable Skills Program based in New Westminister, BC. This project is coming along well.
Our team has been working hard at some custom PHP work and CMS ( content managment software ) for our BC based clients. Automated advertising campaigns, web forums, contests, surveys, polls and more. Watch our site for details.
Hey, we got a new cat in the office. "Ashes" is a black cat (9 weeks) that is living up to her reputation. Haywire as all you know what. Will upload pictures this weekend. We now have two cats on patrol ( security is tight here at Eldoren Design!).
Sept 28th,2004 - This past month has been crazy busy as we worked on a number of interactive features for the Northern Opportunities Web Site. We also started the design work on a site for David Currie, an accomplished artist in Vancouver, BC.
Much of our new web coding and development is using xhtml/css and following a standards approach. Sites load way quicker and display very well on almost every browser.

"Our site was developed in less than 2 weeks and we made a major deadline! Thanks for
coming through Eldoren."
