About Us
Eldoren Design (a division of Eldoren Consulting Inc) was started 15 years ago. Back then we were simply known as G.F.Currie Consulting. We provided Internet Training, Web Site development and also built online computer gaming communities for games like Myst and Riven (both trademarks of Cyan Inc.)
Eldoren Design is lead by Gordon Currie (CEO/President) and his 2 employees and 7 full-time subcontractors. Eldoren is a leading Internet Marketing and Web Design firm located in Dawson Creek, BC. We maintain satellite offices in Toronto, San Francisco/Bay Area, and Victoria, BC. Over the past 36 months, team members from the Eldoren creative team have met in Alabama, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Spokane, Vancouver, and Victoria.
Eldoren designs and develops web sites / communities for high profile companies in a number of industries including the computer game industry, financial services sector, tourism industry, automotive sector and entertainment field. The firm has developed over 150 commercial websites over the past 15+ years. We were original beta testers of Mosaic (the first browser on the web). With over 20 years experience on the Internet (well before the www), we offer specialized Internet marketing services that allow companies to promote products and services globally!
Specialized services include guerilla based marketing, user interface and branding/identity, as well as a full range of public relations and creative solutions.

From a technical proficiency perspective, Gordon and his team have extensive experience in HTML, XHTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, Actionscript and work with programs that include industry standards like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Macromedia Studio MX ( Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks MX, Contribute, Freehand MX ). We have hosted web sites for 10 years on 17 servers located in Canada and the US. Systems ranged from Windows NT / 2000 based to Linux / Solaris / BSD / UNIX based servers.
Eldoren Design staff has experience integrating a number of middleware software solutions such as PHP, mySQL, Perl and most cgi scripts available.
Over the past 10 years we have worked closely with Philip Andrews of Andrews Keys Associates (a leading San Francisco based design firm). Specializing in advanced user interface design, navigation systems, branding and identity work and color theory, we have refined our skills and have a broad resource base to draw from for advanced, professional services.
Eldoren also works closely with Evocative Inc, a leading E-commerce firm based in Berkeley, California. Evocative Commerce is a complete e-commerce solution that offers the features, functions, reliability and support required for high-traffic and high-demand e-commerce initiatives.
In terms of communication skills, we have developed site copy, brochures and printed material for over 17 years. We have professional copywriters available on our team (many published authors) or can utilize team members experienced at writing online promotional copy. We have developed and edited both print and online newsletters for major Fortune 500 firms including UbiSoft, Mattel Interactive, Stockworm Inc (recently acquired by Charles Schwab).

Over the past 15 years, Gordon and his team of web developers and programmers have worked all over Canada and the United States. We truly believe in generating results for our clients and that means we travel to see clients on a regular basis.
Did You Know?
When Gordon isn't managing his web development company he can be found racing his drag car (a 1966 Pontiac Acadian Canso Race Car with over 750 hp) or painting watercolor and acrylic. An accomplished painter, Gordon recently displayed his work at two gallery openings. Gordon also paints with an IWATA professional series airbrush and has worked on motorcycle helmuts and recently a 48 inch fiberglass rc racing boat.
Gordon has also created a computer game and book series entitled "The Great Walled City of Eldoren". What started as a short story developed into hundreds of pages of fantasy blended with science fiction. Sort of a DUNE meets LORD OF THE RINGS. This was also where the name of the company originated. The city of Eldoren represented a stronghold, a city where people respected others and family was important. All of the artwork for the game was developed by Gordon and his team of Christian Piccolo and Francis Tsai. Incredible artists who were able to take my ideas and concepts and put them to digital ink.
Eldoren Design is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Rotary Club of Dawson Creek and volunteers locally with the arts community, local crime prevention groups and soccer community.
